A GAA CLUB in Tyrone has been badly damaged in a suspected arson attack this weekend.
The fire at Moy Tír Na nÓg’s clubhouse is believed to have broken out at some time late Saturday night, early Sunday morning.
Club chairman Peter McKearney told the BBC he believed that up to three petrol bombs had been used in the attack.
“It’s caused extensive damage to the bottom of the property and smoke damage throughout,” he said.
“There’s never been any trouble at this club in a long, long time – all through the Troubles there’s been no issues.”
UTV report that police in Tyrone do not believe the attack had a sectarian motive at this time.
